These are the types available in the market,not all types are suited for everyone. Your toothbrush is customised for your oral needs ,depending upon your oral health .Don’t shy away in asking the silliest of doubts to your dentists.
How frequently should the toothbrush be changed?
As soon as the bristles get frayed, not more than 3-4 months.
WORD OF CAUTION
If the bristles of the toothbrush are not getting frayed even after 3-4 months of usage that directly indicates improper use. If bristles are getting frayed early that tells us about the unwarranted force the patient is applying while brushing. In case of flu or infection brushes are recommended to be changed.
How to wash the toothbrush?
Not under running water,rather take ample amounts of water in a mug/glas and vigorously wash the brush in there.
Intensity of brushing?
You will have to visit a dentist to know the exact details of force required during brushing.
How often should the patient brush?
Twice a day

Tooth picks are not advised for healthy oral tissues.In case of gaps between the teeth interdental cleaning aids are available which are recommended to be used under guidance.
